Caregiver Job in Canada

Duties

As a Caregiver, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Administering medications as prescribed and ensuring compliance with medication schedules.
• Preparing nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
• Assisting with mobility and transportation needs, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Supporting clients with dementia care by employing patience and understanding in daily interactions.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Communicating effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client needs and progress.

Experience

Candidates should possess:

• Previous experience in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or similar caregiving environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of patient care techniques and familiarity with medication administration protocols.
• Skills in meal preparation that cater to dietary restrictions or preferences.
• A background in senior care or caregiving that demonstrates compassion and reliability.
• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
