About the Electrician Role

Raffles The Palm Dubai is seeking a skilled Electrician to join its engineering team. The role involves maintaining all electrical equipment in optimal working condition by performing necessary repairs and preventive maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Reporting to the Duty Engineer/Shift Leader regarding daily work progress and work order completion.
• Collaborating with peers to carry out preventive and annual maintenance programs.
• Adhering to safety rules and departmental procedures.
• Reading and interpreting building and electrical drawings.
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical controls and systems.
• Understanding electrical installations and systems within modern buildings, including TV, CCTV, and BMS systems.
• Installing and maintaining electrical components such as SWA, conduit, and trunking to high standards.
• Familiarity with planned preventive maintenance and safety programs.
• Working independently and as part of a team.
• Attending departmental meetings and training sessions.

Skills

• Precision in identifying and fixing electrical issues.
• Ability to work well with engineers, maintenance teams, and other departments.
• Basic proficiency in English for reporting and coordination.
• Quick thinking to resolve electrical faults efficiently.
• Completing tasks within assigned time frames while maintaining quality.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of electrical installation or maintenance experience, preferably in industrial-commercial projects or hotels.
• Secondary school education plus technical college or equivalent.
• Proficiency in English.
• Experience with modern meeting equipment and setup is advantageous.
