General Manager Job in Hong kong

Our client is a leading US retailer with 300 stores worldwide consistently expanding in recent years. With a strong foundation in Hong Kong, they seek a General Manager (Sourcing Focus) to enhance sourcing strategies and supply chain excellence.

About the job.

As a General Manager, you will be responsible for

• Leading the development and execution of sourcing strategies to secure high-quality outdoor products efficiently
• Managing supplier relationships globally, negotiating contracts to ensure competitive pricing, timely delivery, and adherence to quality standards
• Overseeing the sourcing team, setting performance goals, and fostering collaboration to align with company objectives and timelines
• Analyzing market trends and supplier capabilities to identify innovative products and cost-effective sourcing opportunities for growth
• Coordinating with internal departments like merchandising and logistics to streamline supply chain processes and improve product availability
• Ensuring compliance with ethical sourcing standards, regulations, and company policies across all vendor partnerships and procurement activities

Skills & experiences required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• 15+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement, preferably with a buying office background
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and strategic planning skills
• Results-driven with excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities
• Proficient in English; fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin would be an advantage
