Job Overview: Plumber Apprentice

Vanguard Mechanical Ltd. is seeking motivated individuals to join their team as Plumber Apprentices. This full-time, permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in the plumbing trade while working on various projects throughout the Lower Mainland, from Abbotsford to the North Shore.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist journeyperson plumbers in installing and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required angles using hand and power tools.
• Assemble and install plumbing systems, including water supply and drainage systems.
• Test plumbing systems for leaks and ensure compliance with local building codes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Driver’s License.
• Interest or experience in new residential installations.
• Motivation to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Mechanical aptitude and diagnostic instincts.
• Ability to work with others or independently on assigned tasks.
• Professionalism, excellent time management, and communication skills.
• Gas fitting experience and B Gas Ticket are assets.
