Key Responsibilities of Store Person:

  • Receiving Goods: Accepting deliveries of goods, verifying quantities, and checking for damage.
  • Storage and Organization: Ensuring goods are stored in the correct locations, maintaining orderly storage areas, and keeping track of inventory levels.
  • Packing and Dispatching: Packing goods for dispatch to customers or other departments, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
  • Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels, conducting stock takes, and updating inventory records using computerized systems.
  • Order Fulfillment: Picking items from stock to fulfill orders, preparing them for dispatch, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Quality Control: Inspecting incoming goods for quality and reporting any issues or discrepancies.
  • Health and Safety: Adhering to health and safety regulations, including safe handling and storage of goods.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining and operating equipment used in the storage and handling of goods, such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
  • Communication: Liaising with suppliers, customers, and other departments to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.
  • Documentation: Keeping accurate records of goods received, stored, and dispatched, as well as any relevant documentation, such as invoices or delivery note.

Requirements for Store Person:

  • Experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. 
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills.
