Job Overview

Penske Logistics is seeking full-time, experienced truck drivers with a valid CDL Class A or B license to join their team. These positions involve operating late-model, Penske-maintained trucks to deliver goods to various destinations. Drivers are expected to perform multi-stop deliveries, unload trailers using manual pallet jacks and hand trucks, and use scanners to track deliveries. Schedules vary, with some positions offering home daily routes, while others may require regional travel with layovers.

Qualifications

  • CDL Class A or CDL Class B required
  • Must have or be able to get a DOT medical card.
  • For Class A: 1 year tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years, or 2 years in last 5 years.
  • For Class B: 1 year straight truck experience in last 5 years.
  • Clean driving record with 2 or fewer violations/accidents in last 3 years.
  • Follow all federal and state driving laws.
  • Be reliable and have good attendance.
  • Provide good customer service and focus on safety.
  • Complete application, background check, and drug test.
  • Stay alert and work safely at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Driving your assigned truck safely and responsibly
  • Loading, unloading, or helping to load and unload your truck
  • Following all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Reporting problems with your truck, as well as accidents, traffic violations, and damage before and after route
  • Acting as the main point of contact with your customer

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to see and hear well (near, far, side vision, depth perception).
  • Need to move around often—stand, walk, sit.
  • Use hands to handle and reach for things regularly.
  • Must lift or move up to 50 lbs regularly, and sometimes up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to legally drive and get in/out of the vehicle and cargo area safely.
