We are currently on the lookout for a detail – orientated, safety – conscious person to join our team as a Warehouse Assistant.

About the role:

As a Store Person/Warehouse Assistant, you’ll be instrumental in our warehouse operations, ensuring accurate and timely storage and dispatch of products. From picking and packing to quality control and dispatch, your attention to detail will ensure our customers receive their orders in perfect condition and on schedule.

Key responsibilities:

  • Accurately label and store incoming products, inspect items for damage, and ensure all items match the relevant purchase order.
  • Complete daily cycle counts, assist with stock takes, and ensure timely, accurate stock transfers in SAGE 500.
  • Keep the warehouse and surrounding areas clean and organised, conduct daily forklift checks, and assist with dispatch.
  • Follow safety guidelines and quality standards, ensure documentation is completed, and support a clean, safe work environment.
  • Conduct thorough checks on items, codes, and addresses to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure all orders meet SpanSet’s standards.
  • Support inventory management through stocktakes and maintaining accurate records.
  • Adhere to safety and packaging guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Contribute to resource conservation and waste minimisation efforts.

Required Skills:

  • High reach forklift license and experience (advantageous).
  • Previous warehouse experience, particularly in order picking and packing.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety standards.
  • Basic computer skills for order processing.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proactive, autonomous, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Reliable and honest nature.
