Job Overview

Stellar Recruitment is currently seeking a qualified and registered Electrician to join a well-established team in Wellington, New Zealand. This full-time role offers a mix of residential and commercial work, including tasks such as cable installation, lighting fit-offs, and general maintenance.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid EWRB registration and bring hands-on experience in the electrical trade, along with a strong problem-solving mindset and excellent communication skills. The position provides a competitive hourly wage (starting at $38/hour), a company vehicle, and the opportunity to work on diverse projects in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general electrical tasks including pulling cables, fit-offs, lighting installations, and some work across industrial plants.
• Handle general electrical tasks such as water cylinders, power points, door servicing, and basic HVAC maintenance.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and maintenance requests, demonstrating a strong work ethic.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

• Valid EWRB registration or equivalent trade qualification.
• Proven experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test.
• Clean criminal history.
