About The Company

The Journeyman Electrician position at V2X Inc. in Misawa, Aomori, Japan, supports the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) under the Global Intelligence Logistics and Engineering (GILE) program. This role involves providing multi-disciplined engineering, facilities sustainment, and maintenance of intelligence systems, both non-standard and Program of Record, including hardware integration, network management, and technology development. The position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

Job Overview

As a Journeyman Electrician, your responsibilities will include:

• Electrical Measurements: Expertly measuring electrical properties such as resistance, inductance, capacitance, electrical potential, and current flow.
• Installation & Maintenance: Selecting and installing domestic and foreign materials and devices under the National Electric Code (NEC).
• System Integration: Assisting in the integration of new intelligence technologies and capabilities.
• Infrastructure Support: Providing sustainment and maintenance of intelligence systems and facilities.
• Compliance: Ensuring adherence to NEC provisions and applications.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to maneuver in small spaces and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Can work in tight spaces and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Expert at measuring things like voltage, current, resistance, etc.
• Knows the National Electric Code (NEC) very well and can install U.S. and foreign electrical parts.
• Speaks and understands English well, including reading technical diagrams and documents.
• Can work with both local and U.S. teams to quickly fix urgent technical issues.
• Understands how power generators work and how to maintain them (having a certificate is a plus)

Qualifications

• Vocational or High School diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of experience leading to licensure as a Journeyman Electrician or equivalent license at a state level, OR
• Six (6) years of experience in a Military or civilian equivalent Electrician training / certification.

Security Clearance Requirement

• Can move around in small spaces and lift heavy things (up to 50 pounds).
• Knows how to measure electricity (like voltage, current, resistance).
• Understands and follows electrical rules (National Electric Code).
• Speaks, reads, and writes English well — can understand diagrams and instructions.
• Can work with other teams in Japan and the U.S. to solve problems quickly.
• Knows how power generators work and how to take care of them (extra points if you have a certificate).
